National Staffing Agency Settles $2.2 Million EEOC Bias Lawsuit

BaronHR LLC will pay $2.2 million and change certain employment practices to settle a hiring discrimination lawsuit, according to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Tuesday.

The nationwide staffing agency since at least 2015 allegedly failed to recruit and refer workers for low-skill positions based on their race and national origin, and illegally steered candidates to particular positions based on their sex, the EEOC said. BaronHR also allegedly only hired and referred candidates it perceived as physically fit with no history of injury or disability.
