Nassau PD Discriminates Against Non-White Applicants, Suit Says

The Nassau County, New York, police department intentionally and systematically discriminates against qualified, non-White police officer applicants, a new proposed class action lawsuit says.

A Black New York City Police Department officer, and previous NCPD applicant, was disqualified by Nassau County in 2020 allegedly due to traffic tickets, while White officers with more significant background issues were hired, according to the complaint.
