New York state’s sexual harassment policy—written before the pandemic made video a routine part of the workday—would address remote work and expand the definition of gender discrimination, according to proposed changes released Thursday.
The state Labor Department released revisions to its formal guidance to companies to reflect state laws that make it easier to bring harassment claims. The public now has 30 days, through Feb. 11, to comment on the policy.
