MyEyeDr Manager Duo Settles Wage Case After Group Status Setback

Two Capital Vision Services LLC store managers reached a deal on their overtime claims against the optometry chain known as MyEyeDr roughly a year after a federal judge ended their bid to proceed as a class or collective.

The company, which does business at more than 500 clinics, will pay the duo more than $27,000 total to resolve their claims, according to settlement documents the workers filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The deal—which Chief Judge Denise J. Casper approved Thursday—includes approximately $2,500 in damages for each worker, plus fees and costs.
