A Muslim airport employee who alleged discrimination because of her sex and clothing brought personal complaints, but not legal claims, a federal district court in Pennsylvania said in its decision to dismiss her case.
Prospect Airport Services Inc., which operates at Philadelphia International Airport, hired Rabiahtu Peterkin as a personal service attendant. Peterkin failed to state claims for race, religion, and sex discrimination and didn’t exhaust administrative routes for pursuing her complaints, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said.
The court gave her a chance to amend her complaint, with a deadline of June 25.
