Mozilla Settles Case Over Its Refusal to Hire Apple Activist

Mozilla Corp. has agreed to settle allegations it refused to hire a former Apple Inc. software engineer because of her prior labor activism.

The internet browser company agreed to pay $300,000 to Cher Scarlett, resolving a case brought by US National Labor Relations Board prosecutors in 2023. Mozilla didn’t admit wrongdoing as part of the deal and doesn’t need to hire Scarlett, according to a settlement agreement reviewed by Bloomberg News.
