Most U.S. Companies Aren’t Disclosing Gender Pay Gap Analysis

The vast majority of companies in the U.S. aren’t disclosing whether they’re analyzing the gender pay gap among their employees, and even fewer are publicly sharing what that gap is.

That’s according to a new study from the nonprofit Just Capital, which found that less than a quarter of 954 major U.S. companies disclosed conducting the analysis. Of those that do say they’re looking at the numbers, almost half don’t release any information about their actual performance on issues of gender pay equity, the group found. Only 75 companies in the research reported the exact pay ratios between women and men.
