Mondelez Must Let Staff Work Seven Days a Week

Mondelez Global LLC should have bargained with a union before it terminated a policy that allowed employees to choose to waive their right to a day off every week, a federal judge ruled Jan. 2.

An arbitrator ruled for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, District 8, Local Lodge 1202, which filed a grievance over Mondelez’s decision in 2015 to stop letting employees at its Chicago bakery work seven consecutive days.
