Milton Hershey School Must Face Forced Evangelism Suit in Court

A husband and wife who say they were required to proselytize and engage in Evangelical Christian activities while working as houseparents at Pennsylvania’s Milton Hershey School can pursue their job bias claims in court, a federal judge ruled.

The private school in Hershey, Pa., started by the family that founded The Hershey Company and believed to be among the wealthiest boarding schools in the world, argued that Bradley and Val Darrington should have to arbitrate their religious bias and retaliation claims under its contract with their union.
