Michigan Business Facing Labor Law ‘Sea Change’ if Ruling Stands

Michigan businesses and labor lawyers are wading into uncertain territory as they wait to discover how the state employment regulators will respond to a landmark minimum wage and paid leave ruling.

The Michigan Attorney General Wednesday filed motions to appeal and stay a Tuesday Court of Claims order that reinstated 2018 laws increasing the state’s minimum wage and guaranteed paid sick leave benefits.
