Michael Rapaport agreed to dismiss his breach of contract claims against Barstool Sports Inc. stemming from the sports and pop culture blog’s firing of the comedian for insulting its fanbase, according to a filing in the Southern District of New York.
Barstool sports also agreed to dismiss its counterclaims for breach of contract in the stipulation for dismissal filed Sept. 9 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
The agreement, however, preserves the right of Rapaport to appeal the court’s March 29, 2021 ruling dismissing his defamation claims.
Counsel for Barstool Sports declined to comment. ...
