A Miami strip club can’t avoid a trial on some claims in a lawsuit alleging a former dancer faced sexual assault and harassment at work, but the business convinced a federal judge to toss other allegations.
The worker provided enough evidence to advance four of her 15 claims, and Miami Gardens Square One Inc.—which does business as Tootsie’s Cabaret Miami and bills itself as the world’s largest strip club—didn’t seek summary judgment on two others, the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said.
