Mexico will be expected to uphold international labor standards as part of its participation in the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a senior U.S. trade official said during a three-day visit to Mexico.
“All the provisions in the TPP are going to apply to Mexico, as they would for other countries where they are particularly relevant,” Stefan Selig, U.S. undersecretary of commerce for international trade, told Bloomberg BNA in an exclusive interview Oct. 13.
