MetLife Can’t Dodge Suit Alleging Gender Pay Gap, Judge Says (1)

MetLife Inc.’s request to toss out a discrimination and harassment lawsuit by a former executive was denied by a federal judge who ruled the company’s arguments against the complaint fell short.

U.S. District Judge Paul Oetken in Manhattan said Thursday that the suit by Mona Moazzaz, a former chief administrative officer in the company’s technology and operations department, provided sufficient details to back up her claims. The ruling means MetLife will now be required to start handing over evidence and work toward a potential trial.
