Meta, Others Spar With White Worker in Diversity Program Appeal

The Second Circuit had tough questions Thursday about standing to sue for bias for Meta Platforms Inc., a commercial production company, and a White electrician who says an entertainment industry diversity program cost him jobs.

The US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit panel pressed the worker’s counsel on why James Harker would qualify for a Double the Line apprenticeship regardless of race when he has nearly three decades of experience working on commercial, film, and television productions, including past gaffer stints.
