Medieval Times Hits Performers’ Union With Trademark Lawsuit (1)

Medieval Times USA sued a union representing some of its employees Thursday in an unusual move that accuses the Medieval Times Performers United guild of violating the dinner theater’s trademark.

The union, set up this year under the American Guild of Variety Artists, purports to be based at a Medieval Times location in New Jersey, and its name will cause consumer confusion if allowed to persist, according to a complaint filed in New Jersey federal court.
