Medical Lab Company Loses Appeal in $1.6M Retaliation Case

A Southern California medical diagnostics and laboratory company lost its bid to reverse an employee retaliation verdict that cost the company $1.6 million in 2016.

Scantibodies Laboratory Inc., which develops and manufactures medical tests and their components, was sued by two employees who were awarded that amount by a trial jury. The case likely represents the end of the yearslong, multimillion-dollar litigation, said Scott Tillett of Pine Tillett Pine LLP, counsel to the employees.
