McDonald’s in ‘Dog Diaper’ Case Ordered to Protect Workers (1)

A California judge ordered an Oakland McDonald’s restaurant to immediately take steps to protect the health and safety of its workers to prevent the spread of Covid-19, as part of a challenge in which workers say they contracted the virus.

The preliminary injunction Judge Richard Seabolt of Alameda County Superior Court granted at a hearing Thursday will remain in place for six months, giving the store owners the opportunity to return to court to argue the pandemic no longer poses a danger to workers, according to lawyers in the case.
