The National Labor Relations Board’s decision that a Florida masonry company unlawfully threatened decreased wages if employees unionized was reasonable, a federal appeals court affirmed Aug. 16.
Substantial evidence showed that Advanced Masonry Associates LLC violated the National Labor Relations Act when it said organizing with the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 8 Southeast union would cause wages to drop from $22 per hour to $18 per hour, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said in a nonprecedential decision.
