Mars Adds 600 Snack-Food Jobs in Chicago After Kellanova Deal

Mars Inc. plans to add 600 new jobs in Chicago as part of an expansion of its snacking division, according to a joint statement from the company and the state of Illinois.

The move follows Mars’ acquisition of Kellanova late last year for almost $36 billion, one of the largest packaged-food deals of the last decade. Closely held Mars, the maker of maker of M&M’s, Pringles and Cheez-Its, has more than 4,000 snack-food jobs in the Chicago region.
