Marriott Strike Spreads to San Francisco and San Jose (1)

Marriott workers in San Francisco and San Jose went on strike Oct. 4, a day after their counterparts in Boston walked out over contract negotiations.

Workers at seven hotels in San Francisco and one in San Jose joined the strike, bringing the national tally to 15 properties. Service workers including baggage porters, servers, and housekeepers are among those participating in the job action.
