Marquis Software Gets Ex-Exec Stopped From Work With Competitor

Marquis Software Solutions Inc. convinced a Texas federal judge to issue a restraining order temporarily barring a former senior executive from working, and sharing confidential information with, a competitor he recently went to work for.

The court found that Marquis adequately supported its claims that Jeffrey Robb, the former senior vice president of compliance sales and business development for Marquis, violated his non-compete agreement, and that those violations could cause irreparable harm absent a temporary restraining order. Robb could divert customers and exploit Marquis’s confidential information, it said.
