Manufacturer, Contractor to Settle $150,000 Sex Harassment Suit

Mueller Co. and its subcontractor IH Services Inc. will pay $150,000 and provide additional relief to settle claims of sexual harassment and retaliation at an Albertville, Ala., facility, the EEOC announced Tuesday.

Three female janitors employed by IH Services were allegedly sexually harassed while working at Mueller’s fire hydrant manufacturing plant. Several male Mueller employees allegedly solicited the female janitors for sex, exposed their genitals, and made sexual comments about the women’s bodies and sex lives, according to the agency.
