ManpowerGroup Sees Hiring Past the Trough as Caution Remains

ManpowerGroup Inc. said global hiring activity is leveling out after holding back last year, pointing to a potential trough in demand for staffing services.

“We believe 2026 has the potential to represent an important inflection point for the business with a path towards sustainable organic growth and margin expansion,” Chief Executive Officer Jonas Prising said in prepared remarks Thursday.

In North America, temporary staffing remains strong, tech hiring is stabilizing, though permanent recruitment lags — reflecting continued caution among US employers. Employers remain deliberate amid economic volatility, but engagement is steady, Prising said.
