Magneti Marelli to Pay $335,000 to End EEOC Sex Harassment Suit

The EEOC and Magneti Marelli of Tennessee LLC reached a $335,000 settlement over allegations that female assembly line employees at the company’s Pulaski, Tenn., facility, were subjected to sexual harassment, federal court records show.

The proposed pact between the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV subsidiary and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission was reached during mediation and follows the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee’s Feb. 26 determination that a trial was needed in the Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act case.
