Lyft Hit With Another Wage Suit By Lawyer It Wants to Block

Ride-hailing companies’ attempt to block former U.S. Chamber of Commerce attorney Warren Postman from participating in pending worker classification lawsuits against them didn’t deter him from filing a fresh lawsuit against Lyft Inc., accusing the company of misclassifying drivers and underpaying their wages.

Postman and his law firm, Keller Lenkner LLC, filed a Fair Labor Standards Act lawsuit on behalf of Odeh Abdeljabbar in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. At the root of the lawsuit is the claim that Lyft misclassifies drivers like Abdeljabbar as independent contractors instead of employees.
