Lumen Subsidiary Wins Mixed NLRB Ruling on Information Requests

The National Labor Relations Board handed down a split ruling on whether a Lumen Technologies subsidiary violated federal labor law by failing to give information requested by unions related to three grievances.

The NLRB on Wednesday upheld an administrative law judge’s 2023 ruling that Qwest Corp.—a telecommunications firm that does business as CenturyLink QC—should have turned over presumptively relevant information from a management handbook on evaluating technicians’ performance.
