Employees at one of the athletic-wear company’s Washington, D.C. stores filed Wednesday for a unionization election with the National Labor Relations Board. The proposed bargaining unit would cover 33 employees, according to the filing from the workers’ new labor organization, which calls itself the Association of Concerted Educators.
“Our core values of personal responsibility, entrepreneurship, honesty, courage, connection, fun and inclusion led us to this decision,” the group said on Twitter Thursday afternoon. “We are courageous, we are demanding more.”
