Lowe’s Axes Worker Claims of Retaliation for Ex-Boss’s Bias Suit

Lowe’s Home Centers LLC nabbed an early end to a lawsuit alleging it discriminated and retaliated against a former employee because of her connections to an ex-boss who unsuccessfully sued the company for disability bias.

The worker didn’t show that her relationship with the former boss was significant enough to support an American with Disabilities Act associational discrimination claim, the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida said. The worker also failed to provide evidence that she engaged in protected activity, dooming her retaliation allegations, the Tuesday order said.
