Louis Vuitton Parent Sued by Former Attorney for Retaliation (2)

A former high-ranking lawyer at luxury brand conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Inc. sued the company for allegedly retaliating against her for reporting sexual harassment, a case that could stay in court instead of getting sent to arbitration thanks to a federal law she helped champion.

Andowah Newton, who worked as LVMH’s vice president of legal affairs and litigation, said in her lawsuit filed in federal court Monday that the company’s retaliation worsened after she testified before Congress in support of legislation to end forced arbitration of sexual assault and harassment cases.
