Los Angeles Refinery Workers Seek Nod for $9 Million Settlement

Marathon Refining Logistics Services LLC and people who worked at its Los Angeles refinery reached a $9 million deal to resolve a wage-and-hour lawsuit.

The deal recovers nearly $9,400 on average for current and former operators and lab workers assigned primary relief shifts at the Marathon Petroleum Corp. subsidiary since May 2020, according to settlement documents filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California. Covered workers won’t have to return a claim form to get their share, the plaintiffs said.
