Lord & Taylor will pay a former sales associate $50,000 to settle her overtime wage suit, after a federal judge in New York signed off on the settlement.

Susannah Mulhearn worked as a sales associate in the ladies shoe department of Lord & Taylor’s department store in Scarsdale. She claimed the company paid her straight time, at the minimum wage rate, for all overtime hours she worked, instead of time-and-a-half as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York State Labor Law.
