Longhorn Steakhouse Server Files Class Lawsuit Over Tipped Wages

A former Longhorn Steakhouse server claims that the restaurant cheated her and thousands of other tipped workers out of minimum wages, according to a lawsuit filed Friday in a federal court in Pennsylvania.

Stephanie Fyke, who worked at a Longhorn location in Erie, Pa., sued GMRI Inc. for tip-credit violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Pennsylvania wage laws. Fyke seeks to represent other similarly situated workers in a state-law class and nationwide FLSA collective.

GMRI Inc. is owned by Darden Restaurants Inc., which operates Longhorn, Olive Garden, and several other chain restaurant brands.
