Pay increases for federal employees in 2019 will be different depending on where they’re located, because the 1.9 percent increase will be divided into a 1.4 percent across-the-board pay raise for all federal workers and a 0.5 percent average “locality” increase that varies from place to place. The pay increase will be retroactive to the beginning of January, based on legislation Trump signed on Feb. 15. Locality pay tables showing the range of increases weren’t immediately available. ...
