Lockheed Martin Owes $327,000 for Wage, Overtime Violations (1)

Lockheed Martin Corp. must pay $327,271 to 20 employees after it allegedly failed to pay overtime and prevailing wage rates on a federal defense contract, the U.S. Department of Labor said Aug. 26.

The company was found to have misclassified the workers as being exempt from overtime requirements and paid them flat salaries during work on a job site in Crestview, Fla., in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the department said. The DOL also said Lockheed failed to pay prevailing wage rates for work on a Department of Defense contract, as required by the federal McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract ...
