Lime Scooter Workers Can Take Labor Claims to California Court

California workers who located, charged and deployed electric scooters for Neutron Holdings Inc. can pursue labor law violation claims in court because an arbitration agreement includes an exception for representative actions brought under the Private Attorney General Act, a state appeals court held.

Yassin Olabi sued Neutron, doing business as Lime, bringing a PAGA claim on behalf of himself and others. The suit alleged Lime misclassified workers as independent contractors, resulting in violations of labor code provisions such as the right to a minimum wage.
