Lidl Store Worker Must Arbitrate Overtime, Time-Shaving Claims

Lidl US LLC can require a store worker who accuses the company of stiffing her on wages to pursue her claims in arbitration instead of federal court.

The supermarket chain has a valid and enforceable agreement requiring the worker to arbitrate her individual wage-and-hour claims, even though the wording of her offer letters suggests the existence of a separate agreement to which she never gave written assent, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said.
