LGBT Rights Bill Gets Support During House Panel Consideration

Legislation to extend discrimination protections to LGBT individuals nationwide should move forward, rights advocates urged a House committee.

“You’re not getting jobs, not getting housing, and you’re not able to purchase things,” Sunu Chandy, legal director of the National Women’s Law Center, told lawmakers April 2. “The level of protections we are asking for impacts all areas of our lives.”
