The University of Delaware won’t face reinstated claims that it fired a lesbian couple from their jobs coaching women’s volleyball because of their sexual orientation or ages after the Third Circuit found “multiple non-discriminatory reasons” for their firing.
Bonnie Kenny and Cindy Gregory failed to show that the multiple, consistent reasons the university offered for replacing them were a mere pretext for age or sexual orientation discrimination, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said Wednesday in an unpublished opinion.
