Lebanese-Americans in Beirut Sue Blinken Seeking Evacuations (1)

A group representing Arab Americans wants a federal judge to order Secretary of State Antony Blinken to evacuate US citizens living in Lebanon amid Israeli strikes.

The Arab-American Civil Rights League sued Blinken and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on behalf of five Michigan residents who say they are “trapped” in Beirut as Israel conducts military operations throughout the country. Their complaint, seeking class action status, was filed Thursday at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
