Lawsuit Alleges Bosch Requires Employees To Kick Back Tax Refunds to Stay in Country

Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions Ltd. has required U.S.-based workers to surrender their tax refunds or be forced to return to India when the company canceled their visas, an engineer alleges in a proposed class action filed Nov. 19 (Kamath v. Robert Bosch LLC).

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that Robert Bosch LLC, the principal U.S. subsidiary of German multinational Robert Bosch GmbH, requires its most highly skilled employees with advanced engineering degrees to kick back their U.S. tax refunds or have the amounts involuntarily deducted from ...
