Lawmakers Press DOJ for Pension Bailout Overpayment Files (1)

The Justice Department should provide documents to aid a Congressional investigation into pension bailout overpayments resulting from dead participants being improperly counted across multiple plans, according a letter from House committee leaders.

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), chair of the Committee on Education and the Workforce and subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Chair Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) requestedfiles related to the DOJ’s efforts to get excess funds returned by the Teamsters’ Central States Pension Plan and the Graphic Communications National Pension Fund.
