A group of House lawmakers paid out a total of $170,000 in settlements to employees for claims of workplace intimidation and discrimination in 2023, according to the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights.
The offices of Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.), Brad Schneider (D-Ill.), and Josh Harder (D-Ca.) faced allegations that they had violated provisions of the Congressional Accountability Act that sets protections against intimidation and discrimination in the workplace, as well as family and medical leave benefits, according to an annual report released Friday.
