Lawmaker Subpoenas NLRB Official on Starbucks Union Election (1)

The chair of the House Education and Workforce Committee has issued a subpoena to a regional National Labor Relations Board official following allegations of misconduct by the board during a union election at a Kansas Starbucks Corp. store.

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) is seeking documents from Rebecca A. Dormon, assistant to the regional director for the NLRB’s Region 15. Dormon, Foxx wrote in the subpoena’s cover letter, has access to communications and documents that would show misconduct by NLRB employees favoring Starbucks Workers United during the union election at a store in Overland Park, Kan., in Region 14.
