Las Vegas Culinary Workers, Bartenders Talks Stalled, Union Says

Negotiations between the culinary workers union and the largest casinos on the Las Vegas strip are at a standstill, inching tens of thousands of workers closer to a walkout.

Ted Pappageorge, secretary-treasure for the Culinary Workers Union Local 226, said Friday that there has been “no movement” in talks over a new five-year contract with MGM Resorts International or Caesars Entertainment Inc.

The parties discussed both economic and non-economic proposals in their bargaining sessions on Oct. 3 and 5, but couldn’t reach agreement.
