A revised settlement between bankrupt women’s clothing retailer Lane Bryant Inc. and about 900 store managers involved in a Fair Labor Standards Act overtime suit received approval from a federal judge in New York.
The total amount was reduced from nearly $1.4 million to just $350,000, after a bankruptcy judge orderedthe parties to resolve the dispute for less than $500,000. Lane Bryant, which is owned by Ann Taylor, temporarily closed its stores in March 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. It filed for bankruptcy that summer.
