Labor Nominees for Wage Leader, Solicitor Advance From Committee

The Senate’s labor committee cleared several nominees for top US Department of Labor positions, teeing them up for consideration before the full chamber.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee voted Thursday to advance President Donald Trump’s picks to lead key enforcement subagencies including David Keeling to head the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Andrew Rogers to serve as administrator of the Wage and Hour Division, both on 12-11 partyline votes.
