The enforcement of US labor laws is set to be significantly reduced if Congress can’t meet its rapidly approaching deadline to approve funding.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has been unable to convince a group of Republicans to vote for a short-term funding measure to keep the government running after Sept. 30 while Congress works on appropriations bills for fiscal year 2024.
