The leader of the US Labor Departments public affairs office, Elizabeth Alexander, has quit, leaving the department’s communications shop with a key vacancy ahead of a new Congress.
Alexander’s last day was Nov. 14, a DOL spokesperson said Wednesday via email. No replacement has been announced yet, according to DOL.
Alexander was appointed as assistant secretary for public affairs last year. Prior to working for the Biden administration, she was senior executive director for the Washington Nationals baseball team, according to her LinkedIn page.
