Labor Department Wants More Comments on Affirmative Action Check

Federal contractors will have additional time to comment on a U.S. Labor Department initiative that would require them to verify they have an affirmative action plan in place, after a paucity of comments were submitted in response to an initial request.

The department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs first solicited comments on its Affirmative Action Program Verification Interface in September. When that public comment period closed in November, just 16 comments had been submitted.
